Regions of Oklahoma
You'll find Oklahoma is carved up into six geological regions. Green Country is in the north east corner of the state with Tulsa close to the center. Red Carpet Country is west of that in the north with Enid close to its center. The Panhandle is officially part of Red Country, but in Oklahoma Super Site it is a country all its own. The Great Plains Country is south of there and cozying west along the Texas border with the town of Hobart near its center. Lake Country is east of Great Plains Country with Ada somewhere close to the center, just above the Dallas part of Texas. Frontier Country is in the very heart of Oklahoma, due north of Lakes Country with Oklahoma City as the hub. Like a little step-child Kiamichi Country nestles down in the south east corner of Oklahoma, with Talihina close to the center of this region. Almost a square but with Green Country stealing a base down the eastern edge, Kiamichi spreads up the state to just about where Interstate 40 slashes across Oklahoma where it butts up solidly against the bottom and side of Green Country where we started.
